WEEK FOUR! July 26-30 Morning (8 a.m. - noon) Picnic in the Park (Grades Pre-K–K)Picnics are the best part of summer! Read stories, play games, and discover what affects our picnic plans. Prepare foods and make decorations for a fun picnic. On Friday, we'll pack our basket and have a real picnic! Splish Splash (Grades 1–3)We love water! Your child will spend a week with an important, and fun, natural resource: water! Launch water balloons, make and use water-friendly toys, run through our water-filled obstacle course, meet indigenous aquatic animals, and explore Minnetrista's pond. Art Smart (Grades 4–6)Explore the artist inside of you! Take a closer look at the arts from different perspectives. Learn to find art in the strangest places in Muncie. Kids will test different styles of art creation and observation through painting, movement, sculpture, singing, and writing. Afternoon (1 p.m. - 5 p.m.) Way Up There: Wind, Weather, and Waves (Grades 1–3)Let's explore Indiana weather! Learn the skills of a meteorologist by exploring Indiana weather, conducting experiments, and creating weather simulations. Photography for Real Life (Grades 4–6)Take pictures like a pro! Your camper will learn how photos are used in real life as art, book illustrations, and more. This camp will create a yearbook for 2010 Camp Minnetrista participants!
