Purpose and Development Opportunities
Perform stage management duties for the Faeries, Sprites, and Lights and assist the theatre manager in all aspects of the production process as well as general departmental needs.

Approximately 25 hours a week

Salary
Stipend upon completion of internship

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Operate as production manager and props master for the Faeries, Sprites, and Lights event
  • Operate as stage manager for the rehearsals for Faeries, Sprites, and Lights.
  • Operate as stage manager and light board operator for performances during Faeries, Sprites, and Lights.
  • Assist in decoration design for the Faeries, Sprites, and Lights event.
  • Other duties may be assigned

 

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of stage management principles, the ability to be detail oriented, and is a self-motivated self-starter.  The intern may also be called upon to construct or locate props, assist with decorations, focus lights, or other general tech theatre duties. Must be flexible, reliable, and able to work well with staff and volunteers.

Work Environment
Indoor and outdoor rehearsals.  Outdoor performances will be under a tent.
