Inspired by Amy Stewart’s best-selling book, “Wicked Plants: The Weed that Killed Lincoln’s Mother and other Botanical Atrocities”, Wicked Plants: The Exhibit is a fun-filled, family-friendly look at some of the world’s most dangerous plants, many of which are commonly found in homes and gardens.
Exciting interactives fill a Victorian-era ramschackled home, where visitors move from room-to-room uncovering secrets and learning about the history, science, and legend of various medicinal and poisonous plant life.

Minnetrista, in collaboration with Blue Star Museums, among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America, will be offering free admission to our nation’s active duty military personnel, including the National Guard and Reserve, and their families from Armed Forces Day to Labor Day.
Join the Minnetrista Horticulture team for a special volunteer day to help maintain and further our lively gardens! Volunteers will experience a morning in the life of the Horticulture Department and grow in knowledge of the garden cultivation along the way!

Experience the fun of creating a fused glass landscape at a Minnetrista glass workshop! We’ll teach you how to cut and arrange different shapes, sizes, and colors of glass, and how to fuse them all together using a kiln. All tools, supplies, and safety gear will be provided.
