34th Annual Minnetrista Juried Art Show People’s Choice
Art is a subjective matter, and what appeals to one viewer may not appeal to the next. Everyone has their own opinion on what makes for great or even good art. This is what makes the annual juried art show at Minnetrista so exciting! Each year Minnetrista invites a different juror to select art that will be displayed in the exhibition. We ask that same juror to select the award winners, what they consider to be the top works that year. Each year, professional and avocational artists eagerly await this decision. This year, Michael Prater won first place in the professional category, and Stacy Wheeler won first place in the avocational division.
What that juror selects will greatly differ from other jurors and is vastly different from what audiences may consider their favorite. To that end, Minnetrista conducted a poll inside the juried art show, and we received over 500 ballots! How did your vote compare to the juror, Ann Johnson?
