Muncie, IN– Minnetrista Museum & Gardens is thrilled to announce the opening of Majestic Mountains at Bob Ross Experience, on October 26, 2024. This exciting new exhibition showcases iconic mountain scenes from Bob’s legendary paintings, providing a unique opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the serene beauty of his art.
Located in the L.L. Ball Home's upstairs gallery, the Majestic Mountains exhibition features an array of original Bob Ross paintings, including a stunning gold panning plate created during his time in Alaska. This rare early painting predates his rise as a public television icon and is the perfect excuse to visit (or re-visit) the Bob Ross Experience.
“Every year, Minnetrista celebrates the birthday of Bob Ross. Visitors are invited to explore the new Majestic Mountains exhibition, participate in various programs—including the Bob Ross Birthday Bash featuring banana pudding and a painting demonstration—and experience the ‘joy of painting’ while appreciating and feeling the kindness of Bob Ross, something we might describe today as ‘radical acceptance,’” shares Tania Said, Vice President of Exhibitions and Programs.
In addition to the exhibition, visitors can join engaging Bob Ross painting workshops designed for all skill levels. These sessions encourage creativity and self-expression, allowing participants to explore their inner artists. Tickets for the painting workshops can be purchased here.
