Muncie, IN– Minnetrista Museum & Gardens is delighted to announce that Lindsey Horan, Chief Operating Officer, has successfully recertified as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). This esteemed designation is held by over 7,700 professionals globally, reflecting a high standard of excellence in the fundraising field. Lindsey initially earned her CFRE certification in 2018.

The CFRE credential is awarded to individuals who meet rigorous standards set by CFRE International, including professional experience, educational achievements, and demonstrated success in fundraising. Recipients must pass a challenging exam that assesses the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities required of a fundraising executive, and they commit to upholding the Accountability Standards and the Donor Bill of Rights.

“The CFRE credential is a critical recognition for fundraising professionals, affirming their expertise, ethical integrity, and unwavering commitment to their mission and the people they serve,” says Brian Statz, President and CEO of Minnetrista. “Lindsey’s recertification not only reflects her dedication to advancing our organization’s goals and supporting our donors, but it also shows her proactive approach to staying informed and adaptive in a fast-evolving industry. As COO, Lindsey continually seeks to integrate best practices, innovative strategies, and ethical standards into our operations, ensuring that Minnetrista remains resilient and forward-thinking.”

CFRE International President and CEO Eva E. Aldrich, Ph.D., CAE, (CFRE 2001-2016), adds, “The CFRE credential was established to identify for the public and employers those individuals who hold the knowledge, skills, and commitment to perform fundraising duties effectively and ethically. Lindsey’s recertification, as a voluntary achievement, signals her strong commitment not only to the fundraising profession but also to the ethical standards that inspire trust among donors.”

CFRE certification is valid for three years, during which certificants must demonstrate ongoing fundraising employment, achieve fundraising results, and continue their professional education. Those who work with CFREs can be assured they are engaging with professionals committed to the best outcomes for their organizations and equipped with the requisite skills and knowledge.

At Minnetrista Museum & Gardens, we prioritize professional development for our team, recognizing that ongoing education enhances our ability to serve the community effectively. Lindsey’s commitment to excellence in fundraising not only supports our organization’s goals but also strengthens our ability to make a positive impact in the community.

We congratulate Lindsey Horan on her recertification and commend her for upholding the core principles of the CFRE designation, reflecting our collective commitment to ethical and effective fundraising.
