Muncie, IN—Minnetrista Museum & Gardens is thrilled to announce the opening of its newest exhibition, Young at Art: A Selection of Caldecott Book Illustrations in Oakhurst Gallery from May 18 to August 18, 2024. Immerse yourself in the enchanting realm of children's literature as you journey through the captivating world of renowned illustrators.

Through picture books, readers embark on sensory-rich adventures that ignite curiosity, imagination, and profound interactions with the world around them. Young at Art features original illustrations from twenty-eight esteemed artists, celebrated not only as classics in children’s literature but also as cherished vessels of countless memories for both the young and the young at heart.

From the whimsical adventures of Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are to the timeless charm of Chris Van Allsburg's The Polar Express, and the pulse-pounding thrills of Chris Van Allsburg’s Jumanji, this exhibition showcases original illustrations from Caldecott Medal recipients and Honor books, offering a transcendent voyage into the realms of imagination and wonder.
